Level Access Wetrooms

Level access wetrooms have seen a huge increase in popularity in recent years, and we are happy to offer them as part of our bathroom design and fitting service.

What is a Wetroom?

Put simply, a wetroom is a waterproof room into which a shower is installed, instead of having a separate shower cubicle and tray.
Water runs towards a drain in the floor, while sometimes a minimal glass screen is used to prevent splashing of water into other areas of the bathroom.

In most cases, the installation of a wetroom means that there is no step when entering the shower area. This is attractive, and makes the bathroom easier to clean.
A level access wetroom is also more accessible to those with reduced mobility, and we can also install features such as shower seats, grab rails and non-slip flooring to further improve the accessibility of the bathroom.

Wetrooms can be fitted in most situations, either using a sloping former between joists to make drainage possible, or by laying directly onto a concrete screed floor.
